Happy Dionysia everyone! From now until the 17th of the month Thyrsos (March 10th by the vulgar reckoning) the great myths of our God shall flicker across our eyes, providing openings for us to understand him better. I am going to watch Seasons 1-3 of Legion until the weekend when I will subject my housemates to a marathon of surreal and otherworldly films. (I’d share the list but they read my blog and I don’t want to spoil the surprise.)

Mind emailing the list? Wouldn’t mind having some more suggestions!

Believe me. That’s not going to happen for a few reasons

Yeah, but what if it did? What. If. It. Did.

I’d rather not even entertain the hypothetical

Dionysos is, how shall we say, “not entirely uninvolved” in a set of festivals for me right about now, too…
We were between festivals on Wednesday, as there were two Tetrad++ festivals on the 2nd (the Birth of Panpsyche, Panhyle, and Paneros, so two kids and a grandkid of Dionysos!) and the 3rd (the Marriage of Paneros and Paneris), and then from the 5th through the 11th, we’ve got the festivals of the Treiskouroi, the Trophimoi, and the family of Herodes Attikos, and since Polydeukion in particular was a Dionysian devotee, there He is again amidst these, too!
It never hurts to have more Dionysos in one’s life, devotional or otherwise, eh? ;)
