As a singer (wedding) & cantor, I didn’t know the history behind this song.
Both versions are in a class for themselves.
Thank you for the knowledge, which you give, which is priceless.
Assuming this is just for “fun” and you aren’t seeking a soundtrack for actually offing yourself, I’d choose Holiday’s version although Forbes has a great voice.
