Here are a couple articles on the Kalikántzaroi, from Explore Crete and Wikipedia. It is my personal theory that they are the same as the Kόboloi and Goblins mentioned as part of Dionysos’ Retinue.

  2. So apparently the Koboloi are tied to the Kerkopes who become monkeys. That’s interesting considering the identification between Satyrs and primates. Not to mention the ties to the blue monkeys in Minoan art. Definitely more aspects of the Wild Man part of the retinue
