Help in time of need

I’ve got a couple tentative writing projects in the works, and some other things that need further testing and tweaking before I can do any kind of serious systematizing and distillation for others – but none of that’s currently grabbing me by the balls and demanding I get ‘er done, as it were. So, as is my custom when this happens, I’m turning to you, my dear readers, and asking for recommendations. Anything you’re curious about, want my take on, or asked before and I never got around to it? I make no promises – my writing is entirely dependent on that fickle beast, inspiration – but I’ll give it my best shot.

      1. How you go about figuring what fits and what doesn’t. What are your criteria for deciding about Odin and his relations with everyone else? Stuff like that.

        1. Though I think you mean Odr rather than Odin, as he’s already established relations with everyone. (By spear or by cock.) Although with that I need to be careful as there is the Starry Bear tradition itself, and then material that’s part of my multi-volume poetic work – with very different methodologies employed. That, in itself, would probably make a good post or three – especially since I haven’t always been clear which is which.

          1. That I did not know about Odin. Could you expand on that? The interactions of Gods between pantheons.

What methodologies would you want to tell us about? I would be interested in that too.

            1. I meant Odin had already established relations with everyone in the Norse pantheon and cosmology (some more felicitously than others) though something on his interactions outside that could certainly be interesting. Not to mention other Norse deities and their interactions with other pantheons. (And conversely, how Greco-Roman Gods made their way into Germanic, Celtic and Slavic lands and literature,)

And I’ll definitely talk more about the methodologies I employ (research, direct inspiration, various combinations, and of course how to verify UPG, how to critically analyze a source or other text, how to make sense of conflicting sources, etc.)

        1. Gotcha. There’s not a lot out there, especially by folks who actually work with them. I should probably do something on the main figures of the Harlequinade, and their evolution through the various comedic genres at the very least.

          1. That would be pretty cool. I’ve been contemplating them a lot (particularly focusing on Harlequin) and I have some notions as to their nature. I’d love to send you an email on my thoughts

              1. Lol one of these days you’ll have to let me call you. I hate having too much to type (just as much as I know you hate reading it all)

    1. Oh, keep ’em coming. These are great prompts.

Briefly, yeah I still honor Antony and Kleopatra as divinities and mortal vessels for other divinities – though nowhere like I once did. Antony is still a peripheral, occasional presence – usually as part of one of the collectives within the Retinue, though sometimes on his own – while I haven’t heard much from Kleopatra since moving to New York. (Granted, my entire spiritual focus and practice has radically shifted a number of times since then, so it’s probably something to do with me more than her or something environmental.)
