What the sieg heil?

Oh, WordPress stats – you gave me an early Foundation Day present.

Apparently I got some traffic from a blog post entitled “Nazis do not belong in Hellenism” wherein it was argued that I’m one because I wrote this piece where I advocate for personal liberty, women’s rights and condemn France for banning the burka.

I may have read the wrong history books but I do not recall those being the positions of the National Socialist German Worker’s Party. Rather the opposite, I’d have sworn.

Oh well. I love women, and everything about them. (Mostly.) They can dress however they please, whether that’s covered head to toe or titties flapping in the wind. More to the point, it’s none of my damned business how another dresses and comports. Sure, I have opinions. (And the fashion sense of a bisexual male.) But that’s all they are, and I’d never dream of imposing them on another. Unless we’re doing ritual together, in which case you’ve got to wear black, red, white or gold, and nothing else. Because– tradition!

  1. Everybody with any capacity for critical thinking is a nazi these days. There’s a whole slew of utter twats in the Hellenic community who have no goal other than to destroy their own community, and to purge it of anyone who has actual piety. They can’t read well. They have no concept of satire, and they liberally sprinkle the word “nazi” on anyone above them in the intellectual food chain–which is pretty much everyone. you have arrived. *snorts*

  2. They go after me too, as you know. I find the best way to deal with them is to shake your dick at them. it’s apotropaic after all and these dense fools are doing evil.

  3. as are all the cowards in our communities who know they speak lies and who side with them either to get the pat on the head or out of cowardice. Y’all know who you are. So do we.

  4. Blessed Mother of All…don’t those people have something better to do as we enter the year-end Holy Tide?

I see that author started with the Black Sun emblem again.

    1. It’s an old post which is apparently making the rounds again, as I’ve gotten referrals from it in the dribs and drabs. Hopefully some of them stuck around after being so egregiously mislead. If so … *waves*

  5. Nice photos of you, though. I’d be tempted to use them for Yule Cards. Best Wishes from the Texas Gulf Coast.

    1. One of them was taken at the Harlem Theater production of The Bakchai – it was so exciting to finally get to see it performed live and in person, the way such plays were meant to be consumed. The staging and the cast were both phenomenal.

  6. Now you know why I want to remain Solitary in practice. I’m sick to the teeth of hearing individuals and groups whining about racism and how some groups are racist and they aren’t (Hint to these people: if Race is all you focus on, guess what…you’re the Racist). A good response should be: “I’m sorry, I can’t hear you over the sound of prayers to the Gods.”

Also, those in Paganism who spew Socialist/Communist BS, I want to hold up a picture of a Memorial Stone in the Forest Cemetery in Riga, Latvia. It’s dedicated to Dievturība martyrs who were murdered at the hands of Communists between 1942-1952

  7. Galina and I were JUST discussing why these folks can’t build a basic community. Spending too much time bitching and moaning abotu nonsense and not one drop of piety to focus on and build with at all. You and yours be blessed. So much love for yall

    1. It’s not just the lack of piety – these folks are socially inept, and cannot manage even the rudiments of a happy, functional, let alone productive adult existence. They can’t even produce “communities” online – to say nothing about the real world – because they have no idea what that would look like, and because everything they do is about personal validation and aggrandizement rather than serving something higher than themselves. Hell, I wouldn’t even mind if they were just about making themselves come off as “authorities” if they actually did the research and intellectual work necessary for that – but they don’t. If they aren’t completely making shit up, they limit themselves to resources easily found online, which are usually at least 20-30 years out of date and full of faulty information and even worse conclusions. So not only will nothing tangible come from them, they are woefully misleading others who are too new and impressionable to see through their bullshit. I can’t wait for them to inevitably move on to the next fad and leave the various polytheist traditions they’ve latched onto behind so the rest of us can clean up their messes and continue the work of building these communities, both online and off.

      1. I do find these “drive-by” blogs amusing – they exist for a few posts accusing various people of all sorts of mischief and mayhem – then disappear into the primordial sludge. And we don’t know who they are, the cowards.

I certainly can be traced back to the real me as you can. So at least, we practice our virtues of dignitas and for me Romantas.

        1. Yup. Like the Xenia Declaration – supposedly founded to weed out the Nazis and other undesirables in the Hellenic community. Except they haven’t gone after anyone but me – and that was only after I publicly outed one of their members as a pedophile. Which suggests there aren’t any Nazis in the community – something worth celebrating, I suppose.

And agreed about your other point. From the beginning I made the decision to be totally out and open about who I am, using my given name for all of my published work alongside my religious name, whereas these cowards hide behind screen-names and anonymous websites.
