‘Tis the season

As we head into the Christmas season remember that Hallmark movies are full of “fascist propaganda.”

  1. So…family values = fascism to some people, instead of just really boring movies? got it. *heading off to pick up my eyeballs, which have rolled so hard they popped right out of my head at the leftist stupidity*

    1. “Fascist” is beginning to lose meaning. They’re pretty much just using it to mean “anything I don’t like because rules make me feel icky because mommy and daddy were mean to me so now I’m just against everything”

      1. I think it lost meaning quite awhile ago. However, I’ll point out that the “other side” uses the term “antifa” (and sometimes “socialist” or “communist”) in the exact same vague, inaccurate and ridiculous ways. Basically, humans are always trying to find a scapegoat to pile all their fears and dislikes upon, because it’s a nice shortcut to thinking.

        1. Oh don’t get me wrong. I’m not a fan of how conservatives talk either. I guess I’m just angrier towards the Left because I have had more bad experiences with leftists than with conservatives lately. Though really it all just goes to show that mainstream politics nowadays is bullshit and we need to just start looking out for our own. There’s no place for decent people like us

          1. Oh I’m actually often angrier toward the “Left” too because I used to consider myself part of that, before it got taken over by the Wokeness disease that eroded their brains (to the point where now it’s a common Left position to actually be *against* freedom of speech, if it’s speech they find offensive). But it did help me realize that it’s all bullshit and I can’t align myself with any group or position. I just think it’s a good policy to be critical of both sides, lest one slip into the same errors of groupthink and scapegoating that are the root of many of these problems in the first place.

            1. Agreed. Both sides only have their own interests in mind, specifically keeping themselves in power. They don’t give two shits about the rest of us, unless it’s an election year. And while the Left has the whole woke thing going, the Right is no better and has forsaken all the principles they used to stand for – for instance, fiscal conservatism. We are so deep in debt that even our great-grandchildren won’t be able to pay it off. And what are the Republicans railing about? A culture war they lost before it even got started. It’s all a sick, demented joke.

          1. Antifa: terrorists committed to destroying their country.
