This one is intended for a smaller, more tight-knit group.
Set up three large stones either together in a single shrine or spaced equidistantly apart. The stones may be painted, chalked, draped with cloth, bound with cords or fillets of wool. One black, one red, one white – each represents a different line of the female elders of our tradition.
Before each of them set a plate piled with the following:
- A candle
- Wheat groats
- An expensive cheese
- A garlic clove
- A piece of vinewood
- A tuft of wool
- A cup of milk
- A glass of wine
Have the group then pass the rhyton until it is empty, each time hailing a Bacchic woman and asking her to be present and partake of the feast.
Ask them to guide and bless your group as well as all those who belong to the Starry Bull tradition and then all join together in the Recitation.
Spend the next half hour or so dancing, singing and communing with Dionysos and his ladies.
Through divination or trance-possession oracles see if they have any messages for the group or if there are other things they want.
When that part of the ritual is finished the group can see to any business that it has – elections; voting on organizational matters and new members; organizing future festivals, activities or trips; charitable works and so forth.
