I watched Ken Russell’s 1971 uncut version of The Devils on YT (which no longer seems to be there) and it is one of the most bizarre film of madness I have ever seen. Sorry, but I seem to have nodded off watching the second video, lol.
I saw it ages ago, well before I had fully developed my appreciation for the surreal. I need to find another copy. Nothing quite like it in all cinema.
And yeah. I kept skipping ahead with the second clip, waiting for the talking to stop and the actual ritualizing to get underway. I reached the end before that happened and that’s just not right.
