I’m sad.

Listening to Morrissey and Joy Division sad.

*sniff sniff*

Many of you have kind-heartedly asked if there is anything you can do to help.

There is.

Go to Amazon and review my books.

Fifty Shades of Grey currently has a bazillion reviews and I can’t even manage a dozen between my six tomes?

Dike weeps.

And if you really want to make me happy? Make a video of yourself lip-synching Goodbye Horses. Yes, Buffalo Bill dance and all.

Oh well, it was worth a shot.

I’m serious about the reviews though.

So sad.

*sniff sniff*

Starts singing:

I have forgiven Jesus
For all of the love
He placed in me
When there’s no-one I can turn to with this love

Monday – humiliation
Tuesday – suffocation
Wednesday – condescension
Thursday – is pathetic
By Friday life has killed me
By Friday life has killed me

(Oh pretty one, Oh pretty one)

Why did you give me
So much desire?
When there is nowhere I can go
To offload this desire
And why did you give me
So much love
In a loveless world
When there’s no one I can turn to
To unlock all this love
And why did you stick me in
Self-deprecating bones and skin
Jesus – do you hate me?
Why did you stick me in
Self-deprecating bones and skin
Do you hate me? do you hate me?
Do you hate me? do you hate me?
Do you hate me?

  1. I would sing…but I’m tone deaf permanently, and have laryngitis temporarily. I would dance…but I’m too uncoordinated, and overly body-self-conscious. These are reasons why I won’t make you a video for you to see today…but I sang this song out loud for you, and I am dancing in my head, just for you. <3

I’ve posted a review for Strange Spirits. Hopefully it will stay up; Amazon has this new thing where when one self-published author reviews another self-published author they decide that we’re conspiring with one another, and the review comes down. This has already happened to me once, so I may be a marked man.

  3. I posted a review for Satyr’s Mouth. And Buffalo Bill’s “Goodbye Horses” is giving me thinky-thoughts :)

    • Yours too. You’re the best!

My love for that scene is downright unhealthy. I won’t mention the filthy, filthy things I’ve done with it playing in the background …

  4. I would love to make a review for you! Your book flew in just a few weeks ago (after crossing 3 oceans and 16 time zones).
