Ivy-clad Tuesdays: Freedom

So this week instead of a question I’ve got a challenge for you.

Make the most perfect piece of art that you can, in whatever medium you employ. Give it your all. Don’t hold anything back, don’t accept any boundaries or limitations. Express your deepest, secret longings through it, your highest impossible aspirations. Put into this piece everything you understand about yourself, the world, the gods, beauty, truth, life and art.

And when you’re finished, destroy it.

You’ll understand why afterwards. Don’t anticipate anything; the process is what matters.

  1. Interesting. So I wasn’t going to get to this challenge for a bit because my schedule has been completely crazy. And then, something came up and as a result a piece of my work will be destroyed just as you suggested — I put the story up on my blog: http://sigilcraft.blogspot.com/2012/11/for-dead.html
